PROJECT OVERVIEW

< From the main concepts of the studio, I would like to introduce the ‘Traveling Studio’ project, first edition, located in Tarifa, on the beautiful coast of Andalusia, Spain.

Every year, I will select a creative space around the world, where I will create and exhibit the collection.

This edition starts from middle of March until middle of April 2025.

The collection will be composed by 25 artworks, inspired by the ocean and the landscape of that region.

At the end, I will set up a permanent exhibition of the new series at Cafè Azul, the most popular breakfast/brunch bar in town.

We have already scheduled an evening vernissage, where I will personally present the new series.

Artworks will be displayed there for 1 year. >

THE SERIES

'Essence series'

For the past few months, I had been feeling like I was inside a washing machine.

In a year full of radical changes, I was overwhelmed by so many emotions that, in order to protect myself, I stopped wanting to feel anything—completely losing sight of my inner core.

And with it, my art.

After coming back from my travels, I was expressing the visual impressions I brought home using an artistic technique that I had almost memorized by heart.

But the 'Traveling Studio project' works in exactly the opposite way. The inspiration comes exclusively from the sensations you experience while being in that specific place in the world.

And where better to launch it than in the place where I feel most connected to myself?

For a long time, I had wanted to break free from the shapes and brushstrokes that had become like extensions of my own hands. But I always ended up retreating to my comfort zone—for fear of exposing myself, of facing myself.

This time, though, something new emerged.

Something that hit me with reality, sent me into a crisis, and then, finally, helped me bring out what I’ve been holding inside.
